Foodify Waiter & Foodify Manager Mobile Applications

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Foodify ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Foodify Waiter and Foodify Manager mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps"). These Apps are restaurant management tools designed for use by restaurant staff, managers, and owners.

By using the Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When your employer registers you as a user, we collect:

• Full name

• Phone number (used as your login credential)

• Password / PIN (stored securely, never in plain text)

• Profile picture (optional)

• User role (Owner, Manager, or Waiter)

• Branch assignment (which restaurant location you are assigned to)

2.2 Business Operations Data

In the course of using the Apps, the following data is generated and stored:

• Order data: items ordered, quantities, prices, modifiers, special instructions, timestamps, order type (dine-in, takeaway, delivery), and order status

• Table assignments: which tables you serve and their status

• Payment records: payment method and amount for orders you process

• Work activity: orders you create, modify, or close; service earnings; personal sales reports

• Menu and inventory data (Manager app): food items, categories, ingredients, stock levels, and pricing

2.3 Device Information

We automatically collect limited device information:

• Device language/locale (to display the App in your preferred language)

• Push notification token (to deliver real-time order and work notifications)

• Device platform (Android or iOS) and OS version

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect GPS location or precise geolocation data

• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or files

• We do not collect browsing history or track activity outside the Apps

• We do not use advertising identifiers or run targeted ads

• We do not integrate with third-party analytics or tracking services

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate the Apps and provide restaurant-management functionality:

• Authenticate you and your role within the assigned branch

• Process and route orders to the correct kitchen department, cashier, and table

• Calculate sales totals, service earnings, and end-of-shift reports for you and your manager

• Send real-time notifications about new orders, ready dishes, and shift events

• Allow your manager and owner to review work activity for payroll and operational decisions

• Maintain accurate inventory and menu state across staff devices

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your information is shared only as follows:

• Within your restaurant: managers and owners of your branch can view your work activity, sales, and account information

• Service providers: hosting and infrastructure providers that process data strictly on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations

• Legal compliance: when required by valid legal process (court order, subpoena, or applicable law)

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• Passwords and PINs are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt); we never store them in plain text

• All network communication between the Apps and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS)

• Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by strong authentication

6. Data Retention

We retain account and business operations data for as long as your employer maintains an active Foodify subscription. When an account is deactivated, personally identifying data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records (e.g., tax, payroll).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Request correction of inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your account

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Children's Privacy

The Apps are intended for use by restaurant staff aged 16 and older in the course of employment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-App notice.
